Through its annual music festival, the abbey celebrates its global connections.
Today, religious hymns have given way to songs from around the world, offering an invitation to travel, to poetry, to emotion and to surprising alliances. The opportunity for a moving (re)discovery of this historic site.
From 2020, the Beauport Abbey, the cultural center "La Sirène" and the association "L'Image qui parle" have joined forces to offer a new festival in Paimpol. Nuggets unearthed in the four corners of Brittany, a mixture of artistic genres and eras, sound experiments: a festival that plays with the particularities of these three cultural places, revealing them through the prism of musical creation.
Usually the festival takes place in May.
Les escales de nuit - Artistic trail
Beauport Abbey is a historic landmark that is generally seen by day, during visits or walks. "Les escales de nuit" are a series of out-of-the-ordinary events held at twilight, when the abbey becomes a more intimate, more mysterious, almost magical place.
Against this creative backdrop, artists let their imagination run wild, inventing original creations, inspired by the abbey and its atmosphere.
Usually "Les escales de nuit" takes place in July or August.
Christmas at Beauport
At Christmastime, Beauport is decked out in its most magnificent attraction. A trail guides visitors from the cloister to the abbey church, from the Duke's Room to the gardens, to the discovery of decors renewed each year. At nightfall, the buildings are illuminated, creating a magical, somewhat mysterious atmosphere.
